The Aeipathy Project introduces
The YOU MATTER Movement

ADVOCATE
THE TIME FOR CHANGE WAS YESTERDAY
The Aeipathy Project is new to the nonprofit sector & we need passionate and committed people who will speak up and step up when it matters the most.

We have several programs that target different issues within our communities & each of them have their own unique opportunities to get involved :

-
Homelessness. The last count, conducted in 2020, reported that 66,436 people were experiencing homelessness in LA county, a 13% increase from the previous year. We have enough food banks, shelters, and toll free numbers. We need people on the ground connecting our most vulnernable members of the community with direct medical, mental health and substance abuse clinicians and resources that are willing to help another human being from beginning to end of any treatment necessary. We know it sounds like a lot, but if it were someone you loved on the streets and there was a chance they could rehabilitate and find permanent housing and have their medical needs met, wouldn't you wish someone did something before it was too late? If you're interested in helping us create a sustainable program with qualified Counselors, Clinicians, Housing Specialists and Social Workers, please email us with your name, profession, and contact information and we will reach out to you within 5 business days.

Education Reform. America needs a new curriculum, and it starts with making inclusivity, diversity, safety, and equality the core values of our curriculums. Providing equal access and opportunity for all students to thrive, having honest dialogue about important issues, and pioneering protocols for managing difficult, sudden, and emotional moments. When we vote for a new president, it's up to each of us to make the right choice for our children, our neighbors, our country; but how can we make the right choices when the very system that was meant to teach us how to think, has only been teaching us what to think? What happens when we allow those in power to blur the lines of what is truth and what is fallacy? Is history factual, or is it something to be sifted through and changed to fit political or personal agendas? You can't be a responsible citizen if you don't know how to find the facts beneath the rhetoric of our government officials. Demand better. Contact your city council members and politicians in your county and have the hard conversations with them about the changes that need to happen. Representation matters, so lets make sure we are fighting for universal curriculums that implement the truth about our American history and teach students the importance of civic responsibility.

Gun-Violence. In May of 2022, TAP made a promise: to prevent school shootings and end gun violence all over the country. We pledged our full support for The Sandy Hook Promise Programs that work to advocate for better educational programs that bring awareness to the signs of gun-violence and provide a universal curriculum that teaches students, parents, and teachers how to recognize the signs and potential red flags of gun-violence. This allows us to prevent a school shooter from ever getting the chance to walk into a classroom with a gun. You can read more about these programs and how to get them started in your communities here: https://www.sandyhookpromise.org/our-programs/program-overview/

Human Rights. Although we are not a political movement, TAP will stand against any violation, discrimination, or eradication of our human rights. We will relentlessly pursue equality and progressive positive changes in law and policy that work for everyone, in every way, everywhere.
