WHO WE ARE

Hello, I’m Gia, founder of The Aeipathy Project (TAP) based in Los Angeles, CA. During the COVID-19 pandemic, homelessness and mental health disorders increased by 25% percent. After seeing the devastating affects a 25% percent increase had on my community, I decided to start a nonprofit for the purpose of providing the essentials for those experiencing homelessness and mental illness in the Los Angeles and Riverside County areas. Thanks to local community members in both counties , as well as friends and family who donated to the cause, my brother and I were able to personally deliver roughly 300 care packages to struggling families/individuals in underrepresented neighborhoods and homeless encampments in the San Fernando Valley between January and April of 2020. 

 

In Feb of 2023, TAP made a promise to prevent school shootings and end gun violence all over the country. We have partnered with The Sandy Hook Promise Programs to advocate for better educational programs that bring awareness to the signs of gun-violence and provide a universal curriculum that teaches students, parents, and teachers how to recognize the signs and potential red flags of violence. This allows us to prevent a school shooter from ever getting the chance to walk into a classroom with a gun.
